Dell Vostro A90 after Japan Available Now in USA

Dell Vostro A90 is actually another 9-in netbook from Dell for American and Japanese market. Starting from $349, Vostro A90 targets only business users. The Vostro A90 with basic configuration is similar to Dell Inspiron Mini 9 with the price tag of $299.

The newly-arrived netbook is equipped with typical feature set: 8.9 inch Wide Screen WSVGA (1024 x 600 screen resolution) TrueLife, 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor, 512MB(DDR2,533MHZ,1 DIMM) RAM, 8GB Solid State Drive, Intel GMA 950 graphics, Wireless 802.11g Mini Card, Battery (4 cell), Integrated 0.3M Pixel Webcam, and Windows XP Home Edition.

The netbook sports 10/100 RJ 45 Ethernet, 3 USB 2.0 ports,15-pin VGA, 3-in-1 media memory card reader SD/SDIO/MMC, Microphone-in and Headphone-output jacks, Security cable slot, 1 internal mini-card slots (WLAN mini card), and One USB based card slot for optional Bluetooth.

As you see you can hardy find differences between these two netbooks. I should mention that Vostro A90 is some lighter than Mini 9 and looks more classic which is fit to business users more. Also, 1 GB of RAM is a standard feature even for the basic model, but A90 offers smaller 512MB of Ram for its basic model. Dell has used another sort of screen for A90 as well.

I am somehow confused that why Dell did not try to make its new netbook some more different that what it had launched before! At least Dell could use faster atom processor or offer better Wi-Fi like Wireless n with this higher starting price than Mini 9.

Anyhow, welcome to Vostro A90!
