Yes we know this is not terribly exciting but those 1000HE Eee models that Asus demoed at CES have begun to ship. More importantly is the fact that they carry a few cool features for the sub $400 netbook crowd like the updated 1.6GHz N280 CPU, and a 9.5 hour battery.But as we said before you might want to wait a bit until the tablet editions unveil themselves a few months from now which are bound to bring Window's 7 support as well as multi touch capabilities and according to Asus they will be under $300.
